quite the opposite about the debit card.
Not carrying cash is what keeps me from spending money like water. The ability to hand over a piece of plastic and get a cup of coffee, and not even need a receipt is just fantastic.

Signing your name for a cup of coffee is stupid in my estimation.
You are still spending the same money. Your mental quirks aren't my problem. ;)

You don't need to sign anything! They just run it.
- mrdobolina0
Depends on if you are using debit or credit up here.
Plus you have to run your own card at most places by me. So this makes the dipshit have to decide debit or credit, sign their name onscreen and then decide if they need cash back.
For a fucking cup of coffee.

I am much more careful about spending cash than I am when using debit or credit. With cash, I can physically monitor how much money is going out. With my debit card, I'm usually giving myself a headache trying to figure out what payments and/or checks are clearing the same day as that damn cup of coffee, and I'm always off. And credit cards... well, been about 5 years since I've used one of those.

plus using cash you are at less risk of me thrashing you. ;)

I agree - I hardly use cash and save more money as a result - case in point - say I want to get a sandwich and coffee for lunch - means I got to go to the ATM and get $20 out. Most likely it'll be a foreign ATM and I'll be hit with fees from that bank and my own bank (+$3 to transaction). Then I'll go buy said sandwich and coffee - $7...leaving me with $13 in cash, which I'll probably blow in the next 24 houres on magazine/newspapr/gum or other misc. thing I really don't need to buy, but have the cash in pocket for.
If I use my debit card I pay my $7 for lunch and don't incur anything extra...presto - saving money

New Rule:
If you care at all about Paris Hilton and think she's talented, you get a crack across the face with a bullwhip.
- mrdobolina0
mg, you could replace paris hilton's name with 100 other names too.
