the war on christmas was foxnews' attempt to convince the country that they're victims of a secular society.
- Rand0
that would explain how I ignored it
- mrdobolina0
hahaha, anarchitect.
that dude is a bigger creep than O Reilly.
- TheTick0
Wait, I am not a victim of secular society?

I think Christmas is actually some sort of communist plot; every year forcing us to redistibute our wealth to others...and that fucker in the "red" suit! Has nobody ever noticed that germanic bastard's resemblance to germanic Karl Marx?
Elves working for nothing up there in Santa' frozen gulag...

OMG Cactus!
*looks at santa ornament on desk. throws it into the fireplace at work.
hears faint screams from fire as ornament burns.
HOLY HELL!

Shouldn't you see Christmas for what it REALLY is?? Gross consumerism and capitalist greed at it's best?
Anyone with access to an encyclopedia is easily able to point out that Christmas is 99.9% derived from Pagan rituals.

i saw O Reilly explain it as 'traditionalism' when faced with the pagan argument.
he's a slippery fucker.

(Dec 27 05, 09:01)it's funny you should bring up pagan.
i was watching 'christmas story' on tv over the weekend.
the scene where he and ralphy are at the store to visit santa and the witch from wizard of oz comes up to him and asks 'have you been a good little boy this year?' and he turns to her and i thought said 'don't talk to me right now, i'm pagan' and i nearly fell out of the chair laughing.
only on further review did i realize he said 'i'm thinking' not i'm pagan. not as funny.
i think a re-write is in order.

"I don't know how to explain [the song's success]," says Fabo. "Except to say — that song came from my heart. It came from a life of poverty and struggle."
Wait a minute. "Girl shake your Laffy Taffy/Your Laffy Taffy" is a dispatch from a life of poverty and struggle?
"I mean, it is a fun song," Mook-B adds. "We just wanted to do something catchy, that 3-year-olds to 80-year-olds could sing along to and not be offended."
Not be offended? Hmm. Mook-B must know some naughty 3-year-olds and 80-year-olds. Despite pornographic references elsewhere in the song, the men of D4L insist that "laffy taffy" isn't crude-yet-radio-friendly slang, a la Foxy Brown's "Ill Na Na" or Ludacris' "Phat Rabbit."
"It's just caaaanndy," Fabo says with mock sincerity. Then, still grinning, he affects a schoolmarm voice: "All of you who think otherwise have dirty minds."

Traditions are not self-validating, and if he wants to believe that christmas is somekind holy day, then he needs to crack open his bible and prove it.

It cracks me up to think that he's that ignorant. If a family wants to call it tradition, that's fine. But don't tell me there's a battle against Christians when you're supposed holiday is based on paganism.I know he likes to say this country was founded by Christians, but I'm pretty sure the Pilgrims were Quakers.
