I love it when people make fun of being PC, It's not a effing mesh truckers hat for fucks sake, it's a way of acting with compassion for others

i know lots of people here would say "wtf it's so obvious", but if you walk in someone else's shoes for a spell, you might find that the lines blurr.

(Dec 22 05, 14:49)exactly. that's why I believe I'm so (maybe even too) conflicted. I tend to always 'walk in another person's shoes' before saying anything, which is good, but being really indecisive (such as myself) is not always great. I just can't stop myself from seeing every point of view and wanting to compromise everything. I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive too, so it just turns out to be frustrating.

PC to so un-PC it's sick
he isn't physically unable, that motherfucker is handicapped
he's not mentally inept, he's retarded
he's not thyroid challenged, that's a fat fucker
She doesn't partake in sexual escapades too often, the bitch is a whore
GW wasn't given misinformation, he fucking lied to us
Call it how it is, cuz that's how it is

I completely agree, I'm just referring to certain things, such as the holidays.
Some woman on the radio (someone who called in) went as far as to say that the majority of Canadians are Christian, and therefore Christmas should be the priority in schools.

that's just asking for trouble all over again, such as forcing a culture onto others.
- mrdobolina0
I think it all depends on where you draw the line on being PC.
Not using racial slurs could be considered "pc" fifty years ago.

Someone mentioned the extremists pushing thier beliefs downour throats earlier i think it was jevad
and he's right
a few should not decide for the many in things of personal belief
but then again in america there is a seperation of church and state, though some schools say the pledge of allegiance including "under god" and everydollar ive ever made or spent says "in god we trust" the seperation didn'yt go so well it seems, like a live in divorce or something

(Dec 22 05, 15:03)That's over the line. But that's just an opinion. Check this one out:

Regardless of your opinion on the is issue. A call from the fucking police!

right, cactus. I think that's why Dr. Laura was taken off the airwaves, hahaha. For making remarks like that. Except most people didn't like her already (she's like a mixture of Judge Judy and Dr. Phil)...

"I contemplate with solemn reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church and State."
--thomas jefferson
people always forget about the "free exercise therof" part.
- mrdobolina0
noone is stopping anyone from practicing their religion though, knowwahtimean?
- Cactus0
No
whatdoyoumean?
- version30
non religious people don't seem to care what other peoples affiliation is, but religious people seem to always want to introduce you to god or jesus
the religious of america have no idea what freedom of speech is really supposed to do for its people, that is allow them to decide, not allow you to try to convince for the rest of eternity
- Jaline0
yes, people get so angry when you say that you don't believe in what they believe in even though they supposedly believe in freedom of speech, among other things.
The real kicker:
"It doesn't exist"
that'll get them in a whirl for sure...
- kyl30
They need a new buzz word for PC, A rebranding perhaps. The term PC is more annoying than anything associated with it.
Just be compassionate towards other who aren't as _______ as yourself.
- khilled0
"It doesn't exist"
it'll get them in a whirl because it's a very agressive thing to say to someone that a lot of their life love and belief is a figment of their imagination...religion is real. point is a lot of miscommunication happens when people arn't speaking the same language, if you're an athiest you might be misunderstood by someone with a faith if you say 'I'm not religious because i don't beleive in God' but tell a buddhist that your not buddhist because you don't beleive in god and you'll look stupid...this happens on many levels, including communications between secular governments and nonsecular governments, the basic lingo is skewed
