Foo Fighters wouldn't make it onto PitckFork in a million years.

(Dec 20 05, 12:12)That's girly as hell.

Dave Grohl, great guy, probably one of the most genunie people in the music industry from what I can tell. But I haven't been enticed to listen to Foo Fighters since I was in high school.

any list which has kanye west anywhere near the top 50 is a sell-out list, IMO.

(Dec 20 05, 13:53)there is no denying that it was a great album. if only for jon brion's production alone.
thats kind of an absurd statement you made.
- emokid0
not any more absurd than saying sufjan stevens is a pretentious douchebag. but it's okay matty, i still love you.
- shilohous0
i only recognized like 7 artists on the list. i'm under a rock i guess
- emokid0
i probably recognized three or four. i wonder if it would be worth the effort to look up all those artists and make up my mind.
- grayhood0
watch out rand, i got a strike for post.ing the other day.

was there a new postal service album this year? I heard a rumour but haven't seen an album.

It reads like a list of all the albums music critics say you should really like, but actually are often a bit disappointing.

they forgot the babyshambles...
not really my list....

yeah that can't be right!? and where's malcom middleton?

(Dec 20 05, 10:07)I totally agree, Into The Woods was my top album of this year. To have that fuckin cheesy Franz Ferdinand album in at number 30 with him nowhere in sight is just wrong. Some of the other choices on that list are questionable to say the least.

(Dec 21 05, 01:55)It's pretty easy to forget Babyshambles, they're total shite and Pete Docherty is a cunt.

Sufjan Stevens as #1 was *really* predictable. Couldn't listen to the damn CD once the whole way through.
Here's mine (not that any of you bastards care):
1. Lucksmiths - Warmer Corners (Matinée)
2. Acid House Kings - Sing Along with Acid House Kings
(Labrador)
3. Pernice Brothers - Discover a Lovelier You (Ashmont)
4. Death Cab for Cutie – Plans (Atlantic)
5. The Decemberists – Picaresque (Kill Rock Stars)
6. Matt Pond PA - Several Arrows Later
7. Mobius Band - City vs. Country EP (Ghostly Int'l)
8. Dirty On Purpose - Sleep Late for a Better Tomorrow
(North Street Records)
9. Fingers Cut Megamachine - Fingers Cut Megamachine
(Thick Records)
10. The Charade - The Best is Yet to Come (Skipping Stones)
