You absolutely must increase your budget. I couldn't even find a tiny studio for $1700 in manhattan. Not one I would be happy with. Try Washington heights or queens if you want to pay nothing.
Regarding that map: I was going to say, $1000 - $1500 is going to be very challenging for an apt. for any decent size, even in the outer boroughs.
Just to pour a lil salt on the wound what was the rent?
I was busy last week trying to figure out jobs. Maybe next time.
im sorry, but just last week i posted an apartment in my building that was available...but some cute couple snatched fast.
it was rent stabilized as well..
Craigs list is great its just overwhelming because there's so many listings.
is the best place to look for an apt in nyc. keep up on it, new postings daily...
And its going to be a lot of leg work.
Maybe, but we're looking at a lot of places from Craigs list. I was just wondering if anyone knew about a really great apartment opening up because we will be wnadering to all corners of the city.

is this company helping you find a place to stay or at least a temp one if need be?
do you want the name of my broker? their fee is one months rent.
i am in queens.
I'm moving from Vermont because I just took a job in New York and they want me to start on the 29th.
ok stay away from manhattan, go get a look at queens and brooklyn or jersey city new jersey.
in these outer buroughs you can find that larger apt than you will for that studio for 1500.
where are you moving from and why do you have to move so quickly?
- Do NOT look at Jersey. Your soul is more important than that.CyBrainX
But for me and my wife so it has to be biggish.
1000 - 1500
how much money can you spend per month?
I'm going to need an apartment by mid Nov or Dec. Anybody have any brilliant ideas?
