I'm going to need an apartment by mid Nov or Dec. Anybody have any brilliant ideas?

ok stay away from manhattan, go get a look at queens and brooklyn or jersey city new jersey.
in these outer buroughs you can find that larger apt than you will for that studio for 1500.
where are you moving from and why do you have to move so quickly?
:)
- Do NOT look at Jersey. Your soul is more important than that.CyBrainX

I'm moving from Vermont because I just took a job in New York and they want me to start on the 29th.

Maybe, but we're looking at a lot of places from Craigs list. I was just wondering if anyone knew about a really great apartment opening up because we will be wnadering to all corners of the city.

I was busy last week trying to figure out jobs. Maybe next time.

Just to pour a lil salt on the wound what was the rent?

Regarding that map: I was going to say, $1000 - $1500 is going to be very challenging for an apt. for any decent size, even in the outer boroughs.

You absolutely must increase your budget. I couldn't even find a tiny studio for $1700 in manhattan. Not one I would be happy with. Try Washington heights or queens if you want to pay nothing.
