KILLputer, you are the stereotypical troll around here. no real site, no real email, completely anonymous. which makes you a twat.

why is Apple not good?
I have worked all my life on it and had less complaints then most PC users i know have.

it's not that they're bad, it is just that they are not better. they run the same software as pc's.
the superiority complex is what pisses me off.

i am not apple is no good no good like Dell (which is think is worst piece of crap but with better customer service).
all i am saying is that as they go through mass production and logistics, they are starting to show their weakness

Only problem I've ever had with Apple products is the iPod. They really do suck. No problems whatsoever with the compy's; towers that is. Never owned a laptop. I've worked on both Macs & PCs equally over the last 10 years and I have to say that I prefer Macs. Just like deciding whether you like Chevy or Ford. They both get you from A to B. One's cheaper than the other and the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
To hell with this age old argument. Let's resurrect the Coke v. Pepsi argument for a change of pace.

my main complaint with pc's is due to it's popularity it is subject to crap like virusses and spyware etc.
if Mac was more popular then PC i was probably using a PC.

Previously mainly on Mac, I've now got a Mac and a PC on my desk, both with 23/24" screens (wow). Its interesting to dig around in Windows, lots of tweaking capability, but some of the worst interface design I've ever seen (Control Panels where the Advanced tab has its own Advanced tab? double layers of tabs that move somewhere else when you click on them? (what are they thinking?))
And then I buy a Logitech keyboard for the Dell..nice looking, but the software! Awful huge green non-smoothed type for the on-screen confirmation messages, and such dumbed down instructions! "In your daily tasks, do you open files?" What!!! Apple would never allow such inconsistent and condescending stuff... Theres just no standards...but its my only choice if I want to run Alias Autostudio..

(Nov 3 05, 15:24)* rejoicing in the fact that they are incompatible with pc's
* sending files minus file extensions from ad agencies
* the letter "i" before 60% of their products.
- kyl30
yeah, what up with ad agencies sending files w/o extensions?

WTF did they change on the site then ?

there is a check box when saving where you can not add an extension. its default uncheked. you have to check it to add the extention. i have no idea why that was a good idea for osx

ALL computers should be smart enough by 2005 not to need file extensions.

I've got used to extensions as we're mostly doing web stuff (these days I have to go and insist our Windows users have extensions visible, as otherwise they cant tell the difference between stuff I send them like: 'image1.jpg' and 'image1.gif'...
but I miss the days when I would just call stuff really anything on my Mac... like files or folders called 'the final proposal?' (with the question mark). try that in Windows..
