just made the last one, feels good. I'm now the proud owner of a 2002 jetta wagon with 80K miles. YAY!

Yay kyl3! VWs are the best!
My aunt has an 89 cabrio she lets me drive around when I come visit her. Though the acceleration sucks, it is such a great little car!

Now you have more spending money

I've got $2000 left to pay off on my 95 Camry. The best part about it is the 3 year warranty that I got with it was never used and I can now file paper work to get a refund on it. The warranty cost $2000. :)

nice one kyle - that sure is one less thing to worry about when you move to CO!

80K is actually quite a bit my friend. beware.
although it's a VW so you should get at least that again
:)

80k is really not that much at all. 180k is a bit bad though.

especially if those are highway miles

that must be the greatest feeling ever. sadly, i have years left on mine.
what engine do you have?

I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee that I bought off of a friend 3.5 years ago for $5,000. It has $160K miles on it! All I've had to do so far is get new tires and replace the radiator.
*knocks on mad wood...

Point5, this week I am buying a friend's '97 Jeep Cherokee so it's good to hear that you've had no trouble with it. I just sold my lovely vw cabriolet today. http://www.deannaglaze.com/vw/

I just made the final payment on my 1999 Passat two months ago.
I was SO happy to finally be able to have some extra $$ in my pocket. The WEEK I sent in the payment my car started stalling and my sunroof started opening by itself.
$700 was the bill for the stalling problem...I told my mechanic to disconnect the sunroof. On the bright side...I NEVER had to put any money into this car and it has always run great.

80k is not bad at all so long as the oil and air is kept clean

I always have a car payment :( I usually lease. Can't deny the wonderful feeling of a brand new car every 3 years though. Plus I drive a lot for business so I am happy to send them back.
Currently I have a G6 and it's only 11 months old, but I've driven 26,000 on it already.
See why I give 'em back! :)

with your leases, are there not milage restrictions?
If so, how are they?
I am considering leasing something so that I can get something better in 3 years.
- ETM0
There are restrcitions on mileage, but for a small amount more per month you can increase it. I'm a little over for where I should be so far, but it'll even out.
The plans usually allow more than enough mileage for a typical driver. Usually 20,000-24,000 km per year / 12,000-15,000 miles per year.
