sorry. both of my dogs have been run over.

Really sorry to hear that. I know I am going to be really sad when my dog goes. I have already imagined that in 10 or 12 years she won't be around anymore and it's sad.

When my first dog died, it was as hard as any death I've known. I sitll think of her everyday. There will never be another.
Sorry to hear the bad news.

Our dog zori died in our arms more than 10 years ago. I remember driving around with my wife bawling our heads off. We gave our unused bag of dog food to a pet groomer. He said "they sure take a big chunk out of your life, don't they?"

sorry to hear that. Mine is 8 and a large dog so I don't know what his lifespan will be. hopefully at least four more years.

wow, sorry to all of you.
One a side note I have always like Le Collectif. Very nice work.

That is why I don't have the heart to get a dog. I could never deal with their passing.

Sorry to hear about your dog :(
It can be devastating. My dog died earlier this year, she lived to the grand old age of 14 and a half.
I found it more difficult than the death of anyone in my family so far. That's the thing about dogs - they're always there for you, never judge you, are always happy to see you and never let you down. Unlike people.

oh i'm so sorry!!! :(
my puppy passed away a year ago September. he was 16.5 years old and the light of my life. my papa still feels the guilt of taking him to the vet. But we just remember that he's waiting for us on Rainbow Bridge, as yours is for you.

It's supposed to be Rainbow Bridge...but the sign says Rainbows. Good thing my Dog can't read.
Really though...Dogs are family. I have lost two labs in five years. I waited two years before I got another dog. But I did get another one, and she is SO damn sweet! We still talk about Scooter and Onslow all the time...RIP.

...A dog will stay stupid. That's why we love them so much. The entire time we know them, they're idiots. Think of your dog. Everytime you come home , he thinks it's amazing. He has no idea how you accomplish this every day. You walk in the door, the joy of this experience overwhelms him. He looks at you, HE'S BACK, IT'S THAT GUY, THAT SAME GUY. He can't believe it. Everything is amazing to your dog. ANOTHER CAN OF FOOD? I DON'T BELIEVE IT.
Dogs want to be people. That's what their lives are about. They don't like being a dog. They're with people all the time, they want to graduate. My dog would sit there all day, he would watch me walk by, he would think to himself, I COULD DO THAT! HE'S NOT THAT GOOD.
That's why the greatest, most exciting moment in the life of a dog is the front seat of your car. You and him in the front seat. It's the only place where your head and his are on the exact same level. He sits up there, he thinks, THIS IS MORE LIKE IT. YOU AND ME TOGETHER, THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. He looks out the front. What's he looking at? He's a dog. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE - A RIGHT OR A LEFT? I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE I AM.
They have a hard time. They stand up, they sit down, they can't handle the turn either way. No matter which way you turn, he's not ready. They don't know what to do. And then comes the great moment of frustration. You stop someplace and get something to eat. This kills him. You get a hamburger, this blows his mind. INSTANT FOOD WHENEVER YOU WANT IT? You know what this means to him? You ever see the look on his face? He looks over at you. HOW'D YOU GET THAT? ARE THEY GIVING IT TO EVERYBODY NOW? YOU THINK I COULD GET ONE? They can't get anything.
Dogs have no money. Isn't that amazing? They're broke their entire lives. But they get through. You know why dogs have no money?
No pockets.

I'm very sorry to hear about your dog's passing. My first dog grew up with me and had to get put to sleep my senior year in high school. He had cancer. And you know what, I'm not going to go in to detail , because that's the last thing you need. I just want you to know I truly feel for you. In a period of 11 years, I've had to deal with way too many pets passing away (3 dogs, 2cats, 2 rabbits). I am on pet hiatus, because I don't think I am ready to lose anything else that I love at this point in my life.
Chin up and cherish the good times.

Our dog was hit by a car and killed a couple of months ago - a year to the day we got him. It's really hard to take... but what a great fucking year we had.
We've lost two dogs in three years now and decided not to get another one cause it's just too fucking hard when they go.
