Apparently that aspect of the democratic process has failed them.

I just saw Bush's statement on the referendum in Iraq saying that the victory was great news for Iraq... followed by a statement from statisticians noting that the outcome of the referendum is far from being decided...
which makes me wonder... do Gee-Dubya and his cronies really know the outcome already, or is he just being optimistic?

"Not worth the life given to him." seems like something he could say in some texan internet forum.

Hmm...It's funny you should say that. Seems you are reading from the same script as some other interested parties...

Something like that. It would seem that the experiment called democracy has been sidetracked in lew of corporate interests, and I'm not saying just in the last administration. Its a problem that has been festering for a long time.
Bush is just the cockyiest, most blatant perpetrator.

Well I guess the current populous of America will go down in history as the ones who let the most unpopular president rule for 8 years without doing anything about it.

"Well I guess the current populous of America will go down in history as the ones who let the most unpopular president rule for 8 years without doing anything about it."
Too true, it's a new fascism of consent. For all the utter crap the US has put up with under the administration would be riots and civil wars in other countries.
But everyone is busy trying to buy a plasma TV and a BMW I guess.

toe_knee, anarchy and coups are the kind of things that get your fingernails dirty. Americans aren't willing to have that happen.

take the test then. stolen from another post here
A Test
This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving
an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous. Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line.
THE SITUATION:
You are in New Orleans and there is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions.
You are photo journalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water.
Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
THE TEST:
Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's the President,
George W. Bush. At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever. You have two options, you can save the life of the President or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most famous men.THE QUESTION:
Here's the question, and please give an honest answer.......
Would you select high contrast colour film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

I seriously haven't met one person who likes or voted for Bush. His victory over Al Gore was fishy, and they say it came down to Ohio during re-election. We learned in history class it's really the electoral votes that dicates the presidency, so our votes don't really matter. I blame this all on that fat man looking Barbara Bush, that cunt.
*Punches hole in the wall*Hi =)

Please let us know how to overthrow our government without being killed or sent to prison. I'll be the first to sign up.
unfortunately, we can have 200,000 protesters at a rally and the news will report 10,000. We can vote against him and exit polls can show the dems winning and still get stuck with him. I didn't vote for paperless ballots run by republican supporters biut nevertheless that the reality.
Please let us know how to overthrow the most powerful, most heavily armed government peacefully.
thats what I thought. good night
