Could anyone suggest a serif typeface which will work well with DIN. Bit stuck on what to use.
Many Thanks.

What are you using for text and what are you using for headline/display?

Just using DIN for the text at the moment. Haven't used it much so not really used to it.

What about a nice slab serif like Memphis or rockwell - or even dispatch?
Mercury from Hoefler and Frere-Jones seemed to look good to me too...

had the same issue, lately and ended up using Palatino. Still not entirely satisfied with it, but it's much better than a block serif.

Yeah didn't think of using a slab serif. Thanks for all the suggestions.

depends what you're going for - a slab will make a nice modern feel...if that suits the project..

ATF antique.
http://www.identifont.com/show?6…it's a bit boxy and doesn't have a ton of contrast.
or maybe just because I like it.
worst ampersand ever though.

Maybe Officina Serif, also low contrast slab, fairly large x-height.

bodoni (?)din is so recognisable though i think it's hard to match to it without having the fonts compete.
i'd keep din for your body copy in light and small small small!

We're missing some key bits of information, here, Uni. What is the project? Who is the audience? Where will the type appear? Print? Screen?
The compatibility of two typefaces is not as important as the audience and medium.
