Why does it have to be understood in the first place?

I am pretty sure everybody feels that their profession is not understood.
Example:
My wife is a librarian and people think she justs reads all day at work. They think anyone that works at a library is a librarian...which isn't the case because you need a master's degree. She gets the same pay as a teacher, but she doesn't get summers off. I listen to her and all her co-workers talk about how stupid the public is. On the bright side I get to live out a fantasy by sleeping with a hot librarian.Just find what you like to do and do it. I didn't get into this field to be understood.
Do you think my grandparents will ever know what I do? I show them a brochure I did for belt buckles and they think I made the buckles. The didn't realize someone had to design the brochure. The other day she asked if I can design her a dog house. It is frustrating...but I still love design.
