my 95 Jeep Cherokee gets some shitty mpg and has a slow oil leak. It's paid for. Gotta deal with it. Unless somebody wants to buy me a hybrid or hook me up with some good credit :D

Just for the record, the storm could hit either Galvaston or Corpus Christi.
Corpus Christi is the 6th largest port in the world (NOLA was fourth I think)..so if Corpus Christ gets a direct hit the US loses two major ports in the space of a month? It's going to be a long, cold and bad winter if that happens...

good to you clear, my gas powered car gets 36 mpg. Next one will be hybrid or diesel so I can run biodiesel maybe.

don't get me wrong, I don't have the Civic hybrid yet. I've got a Jetta. ...but getting twice the gas mileage has me really thinking hard about the Civic.
the website says it gets 650 miles per tank of gas!!!!

I drive an IROC. It gets 10mpg when I drive it in the typical assjack fashion that I do.
With the t-tops off I get 8mpg.
Sometimes when I fill up I let the tank overflow for a few minutes just because.
I love it.
18 gallon tank. I get about 180 miles before I have to fill up again. And it burns oil like you wouldn't believe.
