Just curious what you guys and girls would recommend as a good city to live in (big or small, just not TOO small) with all of the following:
- Cooler climate (fuck humidity & heat..think either Boulder, CO or more north!)
- Good public transit, or ability to walk/bike to EVERY where you need to go.
- Furnished places to rent, lofts, rommates, etc. available in a safe community (ie, not just a ghetto area or opposite a way expensive preppy area, just simple n sweet).
- If outside the states, somewhere easy to find work or sponsor for this American's vsia :P
Ideas!? Much much thanks guys :D

Amsterdam
Melbourne
Parisall have cooler climate, and a shitload of public transport...
France is a bastard for visa's though... not so bad for Australia and Holland... and Holland has a huge number of fluent english-speaking people. So does Australia, but only just :P
I can't speak for anywhere in the US about climate and transport, I wouldn't have a clue :)

right on you guys! I actually have a friend from mebourne so I would at least know someone heading out there :P
thanks for the advice..I would love to get to travel outside the states here, I'm just warry of doing it because of the whole visa thing. I am just clueless how that works :(
How is melbourne for work right now? Easy or hard to find? (not just design jobs)

A visa shouldn't be a prob at your age.

The employment market in Australia at the moment has been described as a 'worker's market'... there are lots of jobs out there at the moment...
I've stayed in Melbourne before, but live the state over in South Australia... at the moment we're experiencing our lowest unemployment rate in history... work is good.
Visa's are a pain in the ass, but they'll be an even bigger pain in the ass for you if you don't just bite the bullet, start hitting the websites, and making phone calls. Having mates that have done it before makes it much easier, but the immigration services are there to help you....
Best of luck :)
