Was just checking out http://www.enjoygreenergrass.com…...
At the beginning the pages seem to come from the far left and right. Is their stage in Flash super wide or is it some sort of actionscript "trickery"?
- quoo0
it's just 100% and the items are coming in from off stage.
- jackfoley0
Yeah but if you right click on the all over the page it comes up as the Flash player. Why would they have the stage that big?
- quoo0
so the items can appear to come from off screen? and it's probably just easier.
there are sooooo many hearts on that site.

this._x = Stage.width+100;

So why would you make the flash file the whole size of the browser? What's the advantage?

eh? you can display content over the whole viewable area rather than being restrcited to a defined area.
- jackfoley0
Yeah but they are only using a 600x600 area?
- imakedesign0
oh dear.
so its always centered.
- pmbrum0
so obviously there's the container that is 100% x 100%. it's loading in SWFs, but where on the stage do you put them so that they're always centered? is there AS for this?
