I just emailed my ex Creative Director and asked if she'd be willing to give me a good reference and this is her response:
"I think I'd be able to speak well of your creative talents. I'm not sure if I'd be the best reference for you if they want to discuss commitment and ambition."
This is coming from a lady that slept with at least 2 of her direct reports.
One of which had to leave the company (it was either him or her and since she was the bread winner he left). Then dumped him because he was unemployed.
And who spent the last 2 years at this company doing her Master Degree home work her in the office for 8 hours a day while the Art Director did all of her work.Should I email her back and tell her what I really think about her or should I just say "thanks but no thanks......BITCH!"

tell her like it is. if you don't she'll never know and only f-over someone else later on. do the right thing. save others.
take out and trap this whore.
- gruntt0

sounds like a sugar in the gas tank situation to me.
- ********0
do you really need the reference? if not politely tell her off and give her a piece of your mind.
i wouldn't use her anyways cause she sounds like a bitch that will only ruin the reference.
get midevil on her ass.

is she hot?
- piperboytoy0
well it all depends, I personally will give her a piece of my mind.
i think you'll have to evaluate the situation. Is she recognized in the industry? Does she have a lot of contacts? She can ruin your career is she has lots of Director friends.
If you plan to move to another city and never return, then let her have it. otherwise it's smart not to say anything too harsh.
it's best to ask someone else. Now you know who's to scratch off on your Christmas list!

"not really" to both questions above...
She does work at Weiden and Kennedy now so I don't want to never ever work there but I do want to call her out on her bitchyness soo bad.
- ThreeSevenFive0
Just call her out then. You'll feel a whole lot better. Just don't go regretting it afterwards.

fire that bridge up my man
nothing worse than a slacked up creative director.

Hold your tongue. It's not worth it. You never know what the consequences might be, or who she might know. Being nice, even to jerks doesn't hurt.

fullerc,
it's a small world. if i were you, i'd keep my mouth shut.the word gets around pretty quickly.
whatever it is, she is a shady sleazy woman. even worth now i know she's not hot.

tell her to eat a bowl of horse shit and then bitch slap her...
get it off your chest, or its gonna be buggin, if she seems that negative already, then you really have nothing to lose.
- GrammaSeff0
fuck that,
dont listen to them. this world is quite big. it allows people like her to get over. call her out..

i would ask her specifically why she is not the" best reference for you if they want to discuss commitment and ambition.""
make her back her shit up or call her out as an asshole. who the fuck would even respond with something like that?!
- Nac0
the world may be small at times, but the chances are if she is that much of an ass..other people that will matter for you later will just disregard her bull shit if she decides to put in her 2 cents.
- ThreeSevenFive0
Kindness to those that deserve it, not wasted on ingrates.
Tell her to eat a poo and call her out. The hoooooooooor.
- seed0
Let her know what you think of her actions. She probably doesn't even realize how selfish and idiotic her behavior is.

burn it up brah!...a bitch like that...only a matter of time before everyone knows what shes all about...fuck her contacts...i bet they all feel the same way you do anyway...id hire you just knowing you got in her face about it...do you really want to get ahead in life by kissing ass...or pretending you like people?? be real.

I never once got a negative review from her in the 4 years she was my boss....The only thing I can even remember having words about is after working 2 voluntary weekends in a row she enforced a 3rd mandatory weekend and I had plans. Sorry I work to live not live to work.
I even saw the bitch at a BBQ a few weeks ago and she was nice as pie...she even mentioned why I was still working for this company.
