denver kinda sucks though... i mean you're not close to anything in any direction. i could never live there, as good as the snowboarding is, just because you have to drive for hours to get somewhere else that is inhabited.

that's just total bollocks
there is a hell of a lot to see in colorado
denver is a bit of a cow town - but the weather here is fucking beautiful - over 300 days of sunshine a year - it's september - almost october - and it's going to be 92 today.
the scene here is solid - lot of design places here and a lot of work around.
what is it you want to do - interactive?

i'm getting bought out by some local developers, and as a result, i've got that bug to just go! i was born in aurora so denver is naturally my first choice.
i am most curious about the design scene. i want to do interactive and transition into broadcast design. i've been a solo designer for a long time - i want to learn from the best. throw me some links!

I just moved from Denver/Boulder after living there on and off for better than 10 years. I moved to L.A.
I much prefer a large, late-night, diverse, happening city. I really enjoyed living in Seattle for the same reasons.
Denver most definately is not that- it has it's own charm. You have to decide which you prefer. Coming from Atlanta, I'd think Denver would seem small to you.
As far as the work scene for interactive/web- I'm not sure. I know it's way huger here in L.A. A plethora of work in the creative field.

I lived in Denver for 3 years and most of my quality projects were coming from NYC and LA. I honestly think there are no more than a handfull of decent agencies there and a ton of hacks. I also think if you compare salaries to say real estate and cost of living prices, the salaries suck. But it is an outdoor mecca, and a great place to live.

my connection is all slow... sorry about the double post...

yeah well, you don't get as much of a wage here as you would in NY or SF for the same job...but generally speaking the cost of living is SO MUCH lower than bigger cities like that...and real estate is affordable too....
