To be flippant I'd say they're a day late and a dollar short but in the longrun they may end up being decent tools. It depends on whether or not adobe screws up macromedia and if ms can come up with a decent ui.

plus 3d cameras, lights..looks like a combination of AE and Flash in the way it deals with timelines, similar drawing api to flash; coded gradients, looks like a bitch to learn though. Either way good for competition.
