When you're purchasing a DSLR, the two most important things to consider are sensor and processor technology, and Canon has the best of both.
Canons CMOS technology coupled with an excellent low pass filter and the DIGIC II can not be bested.
The EOS 20D performance standards are unsurpassed in it's category. Nikon does not have a match for the 20D, YET.
However, I'm willing to bet Nikon will have an announcement to make in the very near future, and it will be worth taking note of.
I don't like that Nikon uses Sony sensors. I think to really make their presence felt, they will have to start developing their own sensor technology.

Yes, the 20D is insane-o, but also quite expensive. If you can afford it, go for it! And yes, Nikon's answer will come soon...can't wait to see what they develop?!?

If you can't afford it the 350D is the answer. It's affordable, and carries the sensor and processor technology.
The results will be virtually identical to the 20D.
Where you miss out is the magnesium alloy body, some extra features, and a bit of performance.

I have a Canon digital rebel (6.3)
I'm thinking about selling,(make offer) in flawless condition, I have to get the D10 for sequence shots for skate/snow.
the 6.3 only bursts 4 shots, D10 is 9 or 12.....

20D will do 5 fps up to 23 (or 25 with a good card). You should consider it.

That would be ill, I'm looking for a used (good condition) Canon for around $1200 that does burst of no less then 9. I'm scared of ebay, a friend got yanked for 1500 for a camera a few weeks ago.
