yeah, go to the Amsterdam CS, (central station) then board one of those wonderful yellow trians in direction Rotterdam.

then get out and take the train to paris and smoke some hash and take a train to london and get laid by some brittish hottie!!!

then go eat some frietes with heavy oil and walk to Damrak street andtoward the outskirts of the city there is Cheech and Chongs coffee shop, its truly one of the worrst shops in all of the dam but the t-shirts to get a dope!!!

amsterdam's teh cool, just avoid the tourists (and the haters!)
jordaan and the pijp for drinks, FOAM is a nice photomuseum @ Keizersgracht. Vondelpark on sunny days (but they're over for this summer).
and if you have some time left, go to Rotterdam, which is nice as well.

rotterdam is where to go, the clubs are much better and you dont have the annoyances of "other" tourists so you will have less harrassment by teh locals...if you want to find the trees get them and goo explore the continent!!! the dam will always be there...but just outside in some other countries there are places which since yo uare there you shouldnt miss...i say goto koln in germany or just get on a random train and head east!!!!

Yes, definitely visit Rotterdam. Don't hang out in Amsterdam for too long before you get depressed ;)
Oh and NEVER cross a 'zebrapad' when the lights are on red... you might think thats obvious but you get killed when you try that in Amsterdam.. and R'dam.. have fun!!
Ps: visit Rotown (nice bar) when you're in Rotterdam, it's near Central Station on de Nieuwe Binnenweg.
