well check this out. I got there and all they had were 2g's left and I had to offer to buy the display one until the manager came over there and said we have some on hold for employees. So I managed to get one of those because they can't hold for employees especially if a customer standing in their store is ready to buy. I'm sure they had about 5 back there, but I wasn't going to press my luck.
One guy came in there and bought 4 of them while I was waiting. He was dissapointed the 4's were gone, but gladly handed over the 900 bones for the 2's. You are right, WE are fanatical..haha

No, for a second there I swallowed my swedish heritage and tried to argue in my second language with somebody who speaks swedish perfectly fine
^_^Yeah, it was in swedish.

I would like to know when you listen to 40 gigs of music? Do you sit around for 29 days straight jamming every song on it?
I have 18,957 songs currently in my collection. I also have a 10gig ipod that I have 3 gigs of music on and the rest are files (PSD files, websites, even a bootable version of OS X so I can access my home folder from any mac computer).
I see no reason to load it up totally with 40 gigs since there is no way in how I can listen to all that at once anyway.

(Sep 9 05, 08:35)it's not about being able to listen to it all in one sitting, dork. it's being able to choose from more than a handful of albums. it's about selection.
- TheTick0
Exactly. I have most of my entire music collection on my 40 gig player. I can go anywhere and have everything. As a music junkie and a guitar player since I was knee high to a grasshopper I needz my music.
Beside 2Gig is lame. I bought my 40 gig player (Creative ZenXtra like a year ago for what this lame ipod gizmo is selling for at 5gigs. Do the math.

I've got the 4GB black one...love it, but after 1 hour in my pocket the thing is scratched to hell...I gotta go get some of that iCleaner now.

I was thinking about Buying one of these cute gadgets, but then it occured to me, for £25 more I can buy a PSP.
And the capacity of Memory sticks seem to be getting larger and cheaper.
looking at it from this point of view it made me thing that the Nano is a tad overpriced

finally, an ipod so small that dinky can store it in his rectum

Is the sony going to play mp3's, or some wicked format again?

Steve Jobs could crap in a bag, and as long as he puts the Apple logo on outside I would pay $299 for it.

It really depends on what you use it for... my housemates all have mp3 players, either 20 or 40GB, and they love it for the sheer storage space.
I have about 300+ gigs of techno in my mp3s, and while I love the storage of the 40GB models, I'm not exactly going to go for a jog with it... it pulls my bloody pants down... that's where the new Nano's, or the other small players come into their own... I don't get the storage I want, but at least it's easier to carry...

I tried jogging with my 20 gig, and realized the value of the ipod shuffle. The 20gig'r was pulling my pants down as well.

(Sep 10 05, 19:01)I loved my ipod but I bought a toshiba gigabeat and it's much nicer looking and works better. I don't really understand the whole "ooh apple have released something overpriced, lets rush out and spunk our money all over it" mindset of some people though. There are now many more mp3 players available that are better value.
