Aftereffects help!

Took some work home tonight in aftereffects..,. and I open the AE file and it wont read my fuckin avi files... iam get a message : no such avi compressor.. can anyone help please?

maybe you can convert your avi files to another format and replace those avi files in your time line with the newly foramted files? maybe convert them from avi to mov or mpg

their avi files its not reading.. but they read these at work - they are not quicktime files....

you need a plugin to read the codec man.
the blackmagic plugin will do this;

well,thats because after uses the also the quicktime engine to preveiuw,etc...

must be all down to some codec I havent got on this machine you think?????.. I can view them in mediaplayer though which is strange..shit

At worst you can go to work copy all your codecs from that computer and bring them home.
Keep looking for codecs that enable AVIs.
