come on, man, we're looking for a little leadership here, somebody to stand up like a man and at least make people feel like something will be done, someone to inspire hope in a desperate time--there is a vacuum at the top, nobody home. That is abig part of what a leader does.

i couldn't even believe how he was reading from a piece of paper he apparently did not read earlier and how unpersonal it was in his first speech about Nola, and so many stupid mistakes he made again, tripping over words as he always does. this guy completely lacks character and almost seems like a badly built robot, how the fuck can that move or inspire people, give people hope or motivate them more to act!?!?

All the po-@ss ghetto people that stayed around are getting pissed off at having even less than they already had, which probably wasn't much. Although, they don't want to admit it, at least the grown adults, they're scared and don't know what the f*ck to do. They resort to violence in order to either let go of that feeling or legitimately do harm to someone else for no reason because they've had no proper upbringing in the first place.
Any sane person with money didn't stay in that area.
So the innocent poor folks are the one's sufferin'. What you think?

it is all about communication, the way you do it as a public figure, a leader even, is how people perceive you. If you show strong personality, and i mean charisma with that, people see a human being with good and bad qualities, and since noone's a saint, people will relate to this as they see a personality.. someone who can make a strong impression to bring a message, and better even; show his intentions to the people.
and Bush, imho, has the charisma of dried shit on a deserted road.
