Glad I've got a half tank of gas.
Not sure how things are in your part of the woods but here in South Carolina gas prices are out of control. Yesterday people were running to the pumpS and prices are well over $3.... Some gas stations are out of gas completely.
Hell my boss called saying I can work from home after today.. ...CAN ONE STORM REALLY %@#$ THE USA THAT BAD???

Awwww my heart bleeds you poor thing. How about collectively start driving smaller cars like we europeans who have been paying over $6 a gallon for over a decade.

WTF?! You are whining because you pay 3 bucks for gallon? Considering your avarage income with here in estonia i bet i make 3-4 times less than you but pay more than you for gas?
Spoilt americans, buy smaller cars or even better - buy a bicycle. You get your exercise and have more money!

it's not that $3 price that's the issue.. it's that no gas is coming into the state.
The pipelines that flow into the Southeast were damaged in the hurricane and now the entire area is running out of gas. Some stations are already out and some others have cars waiting in lines. What the hell, we back in the 70s or early 80s?
I've been hearing that Atlanta has about 7 day supply of gas left.

exactly clear, it's not the price it's the people panicing over the supply. Same thing is happening here in western NC.

i watched a film a cpl weeks ago that really explained the mess america is in when it comes to gas.
basically everyone moved from the city to the suberbs and have to drive 20-30 minutes to get anywhere.
the bus and train systems have went to crap do to the fact everyone drives. i mean i had friends in high school that would just drive around for fun. i hate driving so i never really understood the car culture i live in
now we are running out of gas and have no back up plans. we are all screwed. europe will be fine becuse they really do take care of their public transportation system.
i live in a downtown so i can ride a bike or walk if i want to. maybe we can fix the "fat problem" if more people didn't depend so much on their cars.
