Why Tupac? i say, why not. if you listen to his albums, they are not only consistent, but consistently great! (sure it's dated a bit now), not only did he help spread hip hop gangster rap, but, imo, his r&b influence songs is when his skillz really shines... he was prolific and proficient, spitting rhymes & poetry and to top it off, his brief acting stint was more than decent... yeah, i'm a fan.

Tupac was just an accessable celebrity that could make money spitting out words or his good looks that go him into movies.
- frankfido1010
the fact that he could write and record a track in 15 mins demands respect, imo

(Aug 4 05, 09:30)many artists can do that. I think you meant 'half-decent' tracks in 15 minutes.

you have never read anything about tupac that you believed, nac?
Im unsure exactly what you are trying to say.
Frankie, you are probably right, about me doing the same but I shouldnt be deified for it.
If he didnt die, this wouldnt be that big of a deal, fucking admit it.

Frankie needs some ganja mrdobolina, he's mad about being mad. Mad yo, mad.
- Jaline0
I'm neither young nor hip. And therefore I'm ignorant as to why Tupac has been deified in recent years.

(Aug 4 05, 08:21)I'm not completely sure about this because I don't follow Tupac, nor have I ever....but...it isn't really young people who follow Tupac anymore. It's more like the generation that loved him when he was around and right after he died. Sure, there are people here and there who are my age and buy his posthumous cd's, but for the most part isn't is really the younger generation, even though they are more interested in hip-hop.

why are nine out of ten dudes on NT from southern california, think they are close personal friends of tupac and the foremost authority on hiphop?
I have met like 10 of you here.
Nac, how in the fuck do you know what tupac's motivation was when writing songs? C'mon.

i didn't need to read, because i had friends that knew him and were around him....they could tell you in your eye what he had going on....
believe the media homie...they are the key to your success right?? and yes there are some things you can believe in the media...don't believe everything...
