Ohhh Philly's gonna' be good too! On that note, Colorado also lost Adam Foote to Columbus.

Ovechkin and Evgeny Malkin were spoken about in the same breath. Granted, the Pens would have probably taken Ovechkin if they had won that pick, but Malkin is tearing up the Russian league and he's only 18.

I know what you mean canuck, but I think they're amazingly crazy. They'll do anything for the team, know what I mean? I'm quite scared of them sometimes.
Anyway, I'm kind of annoyed at how the Sens haven't been picking anyone up or losing anyone. They did shift around some people before the lockdown so hopefully that does something for us. After that I'd go to Montreal, then Calgary, then Toronto.

When I moved away from Denver they got the Avs.
When I moved away from Columbus they got the Blue Jackets.
Now I live in Portland, what's it going to take for us to get a team? me moving again??

Columbus is the biggest city in Ohio actually.

This whole thing drives me nuts. $39 million for 23 players. Are you kidding me? Teams are going to have their third and fourth lines comprised of rookies and minor leaguers. Hockey has turned the way of the NFL now. One year of glory, for five years of rebuilding. Ugh.

The NFL is decent because the cap is actually respectable. There's no way you can make a decent team for such a small cap number.
You live in PA, look at the Penguins...
They're going to be fine this year, because they have so many young players on cheap salaries. But when their contracts are up, the team is going to have to get blown up, and it's another half decade of misery.
The NHL might as well not sign jerseys anymore, because players won't remain anywhere for more than three or four years, as teams just can't afford to keep them. Besides, the old system wasn't bad. Calgary and Tampa Bay were way down on the payroll scales, but even their teams can't stay together.

You right moural, but that's not going to be the case with this new system. It'll be better and small market teams will be at advantage.
In other news, the Pens also signed Ziggy Palffy from LA and Sergei Gonchar from Washington. Still hunting for more.
So now, it's Mark Recchi, Marc-Andre Fleury, Mario Lemieux, Sidney Crosby, Evgeny Malkin, Andre Roy, Ryan Malone, Dick Tarnstrom, Gonchar and Palffy and Craig Patrick's still hunting.
