help!! i'm trying to make a .mov from flash with a transparent background. i've adjusted the QT publish settings to alpha channel, but i still can't export. does anyone have any suggestions?

I have done this with a series of png images in Flash.
You'll need a decent machine and lots of patience to author the Flash. The results are worth it.
I suggest exporting the png series as a seperate swf and loading it into your main stage, and treating it as if it were any other flash video by importing it at runtime.
The line of png's is simply to intensive to start doing tweens and scripts in the same swf.

there isn't anything complicated there. a png is like a jpg but can have an alpha. So save your mov out to a folder of png images then load them in and put then in a flash file then save just the mov out. Then make the other flash part and load this mov swf when needed. THe only reason to seperate it is because this mov file is going to be large.

i notice that in "export movie" i can set to 32-bit with alpha channel. will this help as well?
