all i know is - and im not blaming the media or other people or whatever but - its really difficult to just be - be yourself and not have anyone judge you or say this is good this is bad - and to be honest even if i were to wrap myself in a cocoon and wake up tomorrow physically as a stunning woman
i would still feel "bad" and "not good enough" after 31 years of conditioning that as a woman i am supposed to be something to look at and be judge in that manner - not for intellegence - not for talent - not for humor all that is just extra

i guess only the females would know the pressure of the being a girl

Maybe Dove could sell de-programming lotion? That takes away years of self-loathing and the battle scars of sexual competition.

tara, this thread is most obviously a cry for help and an invitation for flattery. Let's get this over with.
Tara: You're teh hottnesssss

self-esteem be it high or low is wholly up to one person, that is yourself, blaming magazines, ads, tv, commercials, frat boys are all excuses

people who think "curves" or "weight" is a problem or has any negative thoughts about it...
You're sucked into this false advertising matrix most of all.
"fat" people use to be considered wealthy in most cultures, and women were more then proud to marry them. (& viceversa) I'm in know way trying to justify that we as a country/world have a eatting problem, (either over or under.) I'm just saying the crazy hatered to people who are some how different from you in a physical charateristics is just as bad as racism.
I'm just waiting for someone to say, "Fat is the new "N" word."

i honestly fucking hate the fucking fact that there's so fucking much light(or fucking lite is what the new marketing hipsters called it now!!) food in the fucking stores it made me fucking pissed off!!
esp. back in the day when i tried hard to gain some weight as i was skinnier then a newborn twig!

health is more important than appearance. if you wish to justify being overweight with days gone by and the ability to eat in general, you are comaparing two irrelevant things seeing as which you can get fat at mcdonalds off the 99 cent menu anywhere. restraint is obviously not being used as much as the excuses are
excercise is not riding the escalator to the maternity dept because nothing else fits you

food is not bad.
daily i see girls and dudes chewing the cucumbers or saladleafs instead of eating a good meal and doing some sport outside. how fucked is that?
in the old days, i once invited a girl in a good restaurant were she ordered a meal, didn't even ate a quarter of it and complained about her weight and shape for the whole evening. it was the last time i went out with a model.
