True. Like all those actresses who are ridiculed for not being excessively skinny (ex. Kate Winslet). I'm just glad some of them haven't changed themselves completely. And yeah, what's up with Lindsay Lohan/Paris Hilton/Nicole Ritchie?

We talked about media stereotypes alot in a communication law class I had in college.
One guy in class proposed that many men are more attracted to more curvacious women because there's a subconscious attraction to "birthing hips."

Interesting. I loved the class I took, it was actually "Mass Media Ethics and Communication Law," while majoring in Advertising.
This guy felt that seeing a woman with wide hips represented the ability to safely have a child. Said a bit about Victorian era childbirth and such.

god, where do you guyts live thinking those are real women. i don't know maybe because it's summer and wherever i hand out i see lost of skinny women but hell those women here are fat and unattractive. i wouldn't hit any of that. It ain't suburbia you know.

I was in L.A. last weekend, driving down Sunset and those billboards were all over. And HUGE. The billboards and the chix. Wasn't pleasing to the eyes. We had to pull over so my buddy could vommit.

I think it's a terrible tragedy that so many young guys are growing up thinking that what they see in magazines is in any way real. What a shock they'll get when they actually SEE a nekkid chick. sad.

my dads latest gripe when ive seen him the last few times have been how overweight most girls are these days compared to years gone by.
it is true though.he'll be like pointing as we drive/walk past them, going "look , look - overweight!"
