I lived in a one bedroom apartment for $225 a month, and you can find beer pretty much anywhere for $1.50.

rent a room from a family. that or find a designer roomate at the agency you want to work at. sometimes agencies have corporate aprtments you can crash at for a while during your first few months, and they'll even co sign on your lease when it happens.

Eff you, we have seasons. It's been in the nineties for like the last two months. And when you get snow, you appreciate summer all the more. And you can still walk around town to get places, no car required.

Definitely go spend some time in places around the world. Go to Italy, Czech, maybe spend a month in a village in south of Spain. Canary Islands are said to be relatively cheap.
