I won a lawsuit and was awarded an annuity that pays me monthly and matures until the day I die.
If I'm lucky enough to live until I'm 60 I get 100K a year plus monthly payments.
But when I'm 60 100K isn't even going to buy you a used Hyundai.

Cape Town, ZA rent is about that, nice digs along the extreme South Atlantic.
Cairo, Egypt, you might get shot or macheted to death, you don't want that.

Wherever is ok. All over Asia and South America you could live like a fat cat and forget your worries in the US. I did it on, I think somewhere around US $200 when I was in the Peace Corps. No sweat and I partied and f*cked hardcore.

i'm paying 1095 for a 3 bedroom house. splitting it, of course, so my rent's pretty cheap. i live in north portland, as long as you're out of the city it's pretty affordable. i moved from savannah, georgia, where the housing costs were 800 for a 2 bedroom in the coke district.
