I know it was previously mentioned but i recommend the Quarter Latin and St.Sulpice.
Of course be sure to try as many quebec beer as you can. So pass by some microbrewers too. Les Trois Brasseurs is a good spot to start.

humain said it best... My favorite part of Montreal has to be the Mile end... Tons of great people and a crazy musical scene and the CAFÉ OLYMPICO!!! yes!!!!!!! A sports café without jocks! You must go to the café esperanza too... One of my favorite places in Mtl..
I suggest the Tam Tams in Montreal too... On sundays, at the Mont-Royal... Great atmosphère, tons of different people hanging out and having a good time together..
VIVE MONTRÉAL!
(actualy going for the weekend. Heeeello little italian restaurants and old appartement floors!)

Its a huge park, people everywhere in the grass drinking wine and stuff...

defined by Sherbrooke, Papineau, Rachel and avenue du Parc-La Fontaine (the northern extension of Amherst Street) but quasi-bisected by Calixa-Lavallée Avenue

my boss went to new york for business. she was in a pub and asked for a certain beer and the waitress warned her that it's a very strong beer.
it was an 8%
she laughed her ass off.
