you missed the Jazz Festival and Just For Laughs. Try to catch the fireworks. international competition and every week or so a country does a set that is synchronized with music that you can tune in with a radio.

well, i haven't decided. i haven't even told my friend this plan. we need to rent a car for the weekend. if we gonna do it, we gonna leave tonight, skip work tomorrow.

for real touristy things visit -
- old montreal (le vieux montreal), old port
- walk up st-laurent from old mtl, you'll hit chinatown, the clubbing strip, and the boho mile-end district. beyond that its nothing of interest.
- walk on duluth and cross to st-denis, to then head to the trendy plateau neighborhood
bars - laika for good electronic, divan orange for indie stuff. jello bar, quartier latin for house.
go to crescent street downtown for yuppie atmosphere.
people here are bilingual, but we appreciate a "bonjour"
