the incredible might of Scotland Yard has pooled its resources and intelligentsia to come to the conclusion that terrorism primarily happens on thursdays. Apparently this is because suicide bombers work in corner shops and off licenses during the rest of the week.
Thursdays are evil from now on.

(Jul 28 05, 06:06)ok so someone else in the office just called their uncle who is a police officer to ask about said hysterical email and he said there is no "official" alert but:
1. yes, today is a thursday
2. apparently if a bomber fails in their original attempt, they have 7 days to retrynow does that jsut sound ridiculous or is there a technical reason for it? i.e. the chemicals degrade over time or something? it's not like if some psycho prepares for years to kill himself, he's just going to say "woopsie missed the deadline, i can rejoin society now la la la"
