Really? I think it's pretty cool for such a large company. Especially knowing how those surf companies run, it's amazing getting anything online complete.

hmm. i find that initial nav annoying. on the interior pages it works better. i'm not really hating it or liking it...it's just sort of there. ya know?

I agree with Jevad. The nav just ruins it. The rest is only ok.

First off, the multi-question entry into the site is lame. It also looks terrible over a watercolor painting.
Are you kidding???? If you're in a section and click "Home" in the nav. box, you're taken back to the part I just mentioned about hating.
The nav is cool, IMO, but there are some screws loose.

i agree with the nav thing tho. and why a cube? doesn't seem to fit the organic, freespirit vibe that is attached to surf lifestyle... their print ads are nice..

The most interesting thing to me is how they rock the HUGE branding area, but manage deliver the catalog/product side of the site so well.
If anything i would ad some more flash branding/beauty areas throughout the site, but I'm sure as they move forward they 'll be adding flash based product micros.
they could help their usability though, by giving the menu a random rotation every now and again. Give the hint the box is used for something other than language selection.
if you get it you probably haven't worked on a large corp site with a multitude of products/markets/barnds.

Juxt did some comps for the new site that we're much cooler and inline with their print branding. Its ashame they didn't go with those instead.
