Peavey Classic 30
It's small but the sound is amazing.. (I wanted a small amp in first line anyway)
- vespa0
how comes you wanted a small one? and is 30w enuff to gig with?
i'm just wondering how much i need to gig with, i don't want to be breaking my back you know? i know fuck all about amps. my practice amp is like a little handbag (roland cube) but has some ace boss effects on it.

SWEETNESS!

i didn't buy 'em but i managed to move in with some last week. for my purposes: just as good! ooh ahh is right!
- bulletfactory0
if you mic it, 30 would work for smaller gigs no prob (sep. if it's 30 tube watts). my marsahall is heavy, but most amps are....... that's the quality that gave you a hernia. :)

sep = especially

I actually have two Stantons which are jacked into my audio computer. I have a PC just for that purpose.
Never combine your audio stuff with your design work, etc.
Dedicate a machine to just music production/editing.

(Jul 20 05, 03:03)thats a serious bargain. nothing beats stealing from the senile ;)

stantons have some serious torque. I was torn between stantons and the technics, technics had a better resale value. not that i'll ever be selling these tho
- JazX0
Technics are better for playback and live performances. Digital manipulation, however, and this is my own personal opinion, Stantons are geared better for it and quality comes out better in terms of line in's.

I have so much sh*t 'slaved' I forget what is wired into what. It's a big wirey mess. Mic into Synth into Vocoder into PC connected to Reason, etc. The coolest thing is lining a recording from a record player into a vocoder and recording it, edit/slice, import into something like Ableton and sequence. ha!~

what mixer do you use. i had the djm 600 but it went all flakey on me, shite build quality. replaced it with the xone 62. really nice sound quality and a kick as vcf filter. the queing isnt as good as the pioneer but i'm getting used to it

Behringer DX626 3-Channel DJ Mixer
it's ok, I don't do live stuff, record at a small lab my friend and I have in his basement.

vespa - trust me it's loud enough. it's like it always is: it just starts sounding good when cranked.
I've seen many marshall freaks hate theri amp cause it sounded like shit; they could not turn it as loud as it needed 2 be to sound good.
I normally play larger stages that are miced anyway, so that is no problem.
and the singers thank me for not being insanely loud on stage.
marshall stacks are for pussies.
