you dont wanna get stainless stell in them legs, it would be too think and heavy

http://www.crateandbarrel.com/and if you want more hip
http://www.cb2.comi love the tables they have

i agree with dinky. steel would be much too heavy (unless it's going to stay in place) you would probably want something in aluminum or brushed aluminum, no?
- MrDinky0
usually any rounded brushed steel with cone shape does cause a problem since you will see the weld line..
thats why they usually crome it

there are some nice ones here.

I have seen some steel legs that aren't too visually heavy. But I understand what you are saying.
I have my heart set on a solid wallnut top and was looking for more interesting legs.

i have the superellipse and pk61 which imo are some of the most well designed tables around, incl the legs
- MrDinky0
you know you could always get that made
find a metal works shop and spec it out
and find a wood shop to get you a nice solid wallnut
make sure wallnut and not wallnut laminate

(Jul 19 05, 20:24)UffF, that is tough.. thats like her taking the dog..
well, i got my stuff used at a "fairly" good price, old first production, it is said to last longer than the new they make.

nice. i guess i have yet to really settle (i am 28!), and find it difficult to buy expensive furniture that will be moved around a lot. i have a few nice pieces from auctions and lucky thrift store finds though. those will stay with me (or in storage) no matter where i go : )

i'm 27, but i start collection about 10 years ago, so i have had plenty of time to find what imo is the good stuff. even got a BA in furniture design to go with that.. :/

shit de, you're one step ahead of me on that. i got a BS in GD but i've always had a strong passion for furniture design. i've always had a goal to get something into the droog collection. not sure why, but the droog stuff just reall sticks with me.
- designerror0
i don't know if i'm a step ahead of you, doing GD now for a living and furniture of the side, but never have time for it.
and yeah, droog is nice, lots of good stuff there..

I like the idea of spec-ing out the table legs. I am worried about the cost though.
I just bought an apt at the ripe age of 30 and looking to toss the old crap that I've had since college and pimp it out.
The legs are for a desk and they need to be 28" high.

nice legs = pricy
