This stuff is not fluff, it serves a purpose. And not only that but the people involved are true originators of the style they push, so they get nothing but respect from me.
Keep up the great work, all.

so where is the substance in this? you must see it in this work?
- frankfido1010
there is no real substance, it is purely aesthetic, but it is FASHION my friend, therein lies the difference.
- ********0
i recall u agreeing with BlkSpa saying that something about style?
if you are saying that they are pushers of style, than inyour def, isnt it fluff?
- jdcomba0
eh
- frankfido1010
no, its not fluff, because it serves a purpose. purpose is selling "cool" product, which they acheive quite well.

ah so fasion is not considered art nor design. it serves no purpose but please the eye.
if it is fasion, where is the line that they have created?
- frankfido1010

yikes!
I looked away for two seconds and this thread lit up like a freakin' searchlight.
Anyway, to testpilot (like 20 entries back), i was going to say:
thanks testpilot -
Over the past year, we've cranked up the complexity of the Web and Catalog a whole lot.
It's still a fledgling business for the company, and we're learning more every season... about how the two channels can interact with each other, and with our stores. So far the results have been awesome.
And the company has been super supportive of each experiment (I mean, look at who I get to work with...).
There are still lots of limits to be tested... (e.g. how much image can we pack into a framework that still moves product?). But we'll push a bit further each time. Everyone here is commited to bringing as much richness and beauty to the work as we can.
The next two books are going to be amazing.
