No, because she was a willing participant.

Sexual Deviant?
Dude - she looks like a man...

kinda like the sex scene in BladeRunner.
He was a real prick about it, or just rugged and forceful.

Reading Ayn Rand, IMO, is kind of like listening to GWAR.
It's one of those things people say they do to seem cool, but actually no one ever does either one.

people listen to GWAR to seem cool? Did I miss a memo or something? When did that happen?

here's the link to the sex scene discussion if you're interested, dopepope

Is there anything more sexy than reading a bunch of psuedo intellectual Ayn Rand freaks discuss the sex scenes in an Ayn Rand book?
I think not...it just defines "hot". really.

I liked Anthem quite a bit. Atlas Shrugged seemed a bit off. The majority of the book plays upon her philosophy, while the conclusion reminded me a bit of a cheap action flick. Went from serious to pure cheese IMHO.. She should have stayed away from any sort of plot involving action rather than dialogue, it certainly wasn't her strong suit.

there is a HUGE difference mg33, Rand's monster mascots are a lot scarier.

"pretending she wanted him to repair the marble"
Is this a sexual euphemism? god..sexual deviancy all the way...

Ayn Rand, in her own words:
"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."
It's not to hard to see Hitler saying the exact same thing. Ayn to me represents the Enlightenment going completely off the deep end...

thanks mayo. you told me what I was hoping for! :D

I am a huge fan of Ayn Rand. I have read all her books as well as many books about her.
I do have one question for everyone. Most of her work, especially Atlas Shrugged argue in favor of capitalism and the individual. I have notived a leftist trend in PVN. How can everyone here who believes in the left (i.e larger government, state run programs, etc.) enjoy Ayn Rands work.
Also, as a side note Ayn Rand and Allen Greenspan were good frends and in fact started the Objectivist movement.
Looking forward to your respponse.

Ayn Rand was very reactionary...there is a clear libertarian emphasis on her work in which selfish-ness is promoted.
I'm actually referencing her in an essay I'm writing to describe certain aspects of the design industry. I'm really not surprised there is such admiration for her on this forum.

I agree 100%. Here views on the artist/design (i.e. Roark) do have a postive message for everyone here. I think that alot of here work also addresses other important issue in our society. She went on to write other non-fiction books such as The Virtue of Selfishness and Capitalism the unknown ideal that address this. I just want to know what others think of this and possibly the Libertarian party.
