(Jul 8 05, 05:42)lol
that's the worst thing when someone tells me they're 'disappointed' in me rather than be pissed off with me. Makes me feel like a right wally. My mam plays that card a lot and it works everytime.

You should probably try anything you can to stop them. First. And if it really gets far then you should talk to someone else. I always tell myself that I wouldn't give that information to another person if my friend (or just any random person) told me not to, but any sort of death is a big deal.
If nothing happens after that, you can continue to talk to the person about getting help, but otherwise you'll have to leave it alone.

A cop told me a crazy story:
A man learned he had cancer in his intestines. The man went home (distraught) and began drinking. A few hours later the neighbors call the police because he is making alot of noise and he sounds distressed.
This cop shows up and enters the man's apartment. The guy is sittting there with a knife in his hand, bleeding from his gut. He was trying to get into his intestines and remove the tumor himself!!
He didn't want the cops there and everytime they got too close to him, he started messing with the knife and his innerds (he had really cut himself open good).
This cop said the only thing he could do was swat at the guy's hand and say "stop it" like the guy was a child.
