so uh what's your point? just because the constitution failed doesn't mean europe's doomed. real compromise and diplomacy takes time, unlike the american model of just rushing in and sorting the damage out later.

America, Europe, they'll both be around tomorrow and the day after that. No matter what is said here.
Enjoy the summer and sun outside. There's plenty of time in the winter to fight and mope about continents.

"the irony is deafening!"
mmm, deafened by irony, eh?
here are the facts, according to my compendium of fatual information.
America, europe and the internet are fucked. Our only chance is to take up carpentry and learn Chinese. I'm off, Joi wooi!

The More.
the Merrier.Anarchitect
(Jul 4 05, 11:05)Let's not forget Anarchitect speaks from Portugal and not from experience. He speaks from a place that is slightly smaller than Indiana where Africans and East Europeans reside so his "melting pot" experience is some what close to the shape of a "bubble". He is a candidate for propaganda and has obviously been heavily influenced.

I have a solution - we use pschology.
Switch the names.
Europe is no longer Europe - it's America... and miamiVice versa.

"hey European... stfu. you are why everyone thinks of Europeans as self righteous pompous assholes.
Republican
(Jul 4 05, 17:22)"have you actually read your own sayings?.. geez..
the whole world is on a downfall (economically speaking). you just can't take europe and make it as an example.
and the european constitution not beeing aproved by the public?.. well thats just to prove that here, the people have the choice. they can say "no" you know?.. it's democracy. do you know what that is republican? or better yet, let me ask an iraqui civilian to see if they have learned from you.
please take the blindfold from your eyes and be critic about your country first before making silly comments about others..
grow up both conscionsly and critically. don't say things just because i read somewhere. most of those things are just, as you say it, propaganda (liberal or republican whatever). analyse it for yourself so you can have your own point of view.. and not some others jackass that makes a living from the hard work from others.

Hmmm. I live in Europe. Scandinavia to be exact. And of all the places I've been to in Europe, most seem to be doing okay - looking after themselves, not invading any other fuckers country and looting their shit to keep a "strong" economy.
Whilst the US economy is "strong", this "strength" is fucking over its inhabitants and it's fucking over the inhabitants of the rest of the world with the US leaders insistence with its "the environment is less important than US cash" stance.
Don't get me wrong, I have a sneaky feeling that most semi-intelligent, long-sighted American citizens disagree with the Bush government. Or at least I hope they do.
As for twats like "rebublican" - who think of themselves and how they'll fair in the split second they spend on this earth with utter disregard for future generations...well...there's just no talking to ignorance is their?
- clint0
don't agree with the strong us economy. on a trade deficit of about 57 billion dollars going up, it's only a matter of time when the us economy will finally implode.
(unless they rip of a few more countries like iraq of their oil, but that can only last for so long.)
http://www.census.gov/indicator/…
the us economy lives on borrowed time, once investors will realise that, it will be the end not just for europe as it is, but the us and asia.
that's why the world economy keeps feeding the us.
we're all in the same boat.
- paraselene0
strong us economy?
mwahhhahhaaahahaaaaahahha!

The US is the biggest debtor in the world and has shitty to shakey relations with everyone, including its allies and neighbours. If not for September 11th giving a kick in the pants to a slagging economy, the US would already be down the drain. Its quickened march to fascism is deeply troubling from the viewpoint of the freedom-loving world, but there is hope: Rome fell too, and the world outside of Rome's empire flourished.
Burn, Washington, burn!
Europe may not be going toe to toe, and it may not be able to, but that is not a failure or sign of decline. Just because you want to play a game doesn't mean the rest of us lose when we decide not to play.
