Son, I really regret unignoring you.
1. David Gensler isn't a designer. He's a branding specialist, a marketer, a consultant. But he doesn't do the designing.
2. Shut the fuck up, punk. Go back to DeviantArt before you get your ass on rants about how we are so hopeless and you're going to enlighten us all. Your ego is way too fucking big.
Pointing out how great someone is doesn't make you great by proxy, son.

Whoa! I usually ignore online blogs, but this morning a friend tipped me off to the Newstoday thing. Yikes. I was just taking the holiday to do a few updates around the studio... my team thought updating my personal site was timing.We never sent out a press release or even told others in the office... we were simply testing a new site. The site is intended for the eyes of 45 year old corporate brand managers... It is strange that there are post declaring me a "genius" and others declaring me the "devil".... since I had nothing to do with this. I wrote to you because you seemed to be the only one that pointed out the logical fact that someone ELSE posted this stuff. I was initially flattered but then realized that the initial public post actual insulted half the design community. For the record I do actually design when it is appropriate to do so... I spent 10 years "designing"... advertising, product dev, graphics, architecture, fashion, even a little transportation design... but now, outside of my own personal brands, I stick to the strategic consulting... better pay. Well, I cant believe a just wrote this email to a complete stranger... but felt compelled.
