(Jun 30 05, 09:21)That's not BS.
Tax, legal and social benefits.

that's a whole different issue though, whether married couples have more rights than co-habiting couples, the point of this is that homosexuals and heterosexuals have THE SAME legal rights, and the same rights to marriage in the eyes of the law, & passing laws promoting freedom and equality is what politics is supposed to be about...
- ********0
no I was agreeing with you, as it being BS

No spaniard.
It's about homosexuals not being discriminated against. That's fine - but meanwhile - I am, and in my view I'm a somewhat more common cause.

I hate that argument about how if gay people should be allowed to get married then a man should be able to get married to multiple women (and vice-cersa, but not as common). It think it's petty. There is a difference between one person with another and one person with 10 people.

*versa, i meant
- CaP0
yeah, it's called "orgy".
- Jaline0
yup, that would be the one

If you marry it I will hit you over the head with a shovel.
A vague disclaimer is nobody's friend. Have fun :)

sorry moth - if I'm reading what you're saying right, and I like to think that I am, you think that heterosexuals should have more legal rights than homosexuals, because heteros are in the majority?

I was serious, polygamy was and still is pretty standard in many societies and not all with multiple wifes in Mongolia and Kazakhstan it's the other way around.
From a western perspective that sounds fucked up but for many (religious people) gay marriage sounds at least as fucked up. My point really was who is the government to say which kind of family setup is best.
it won't happen obviously because there is no demand.
