TheTick, i think you misuderstand discipler there. He believes all forms of porn is an insiduous evil. I.e anything with the intention of satisfying sexual desire other than a loving "god given" partner confirmed in holy matrimony. this includes erotic fiction.

a) yes, it is as real as alcoholism or drug addiction.
b) i reckon it's probably equally as prevalent as the above, but, due to the stigma attached, not recognised as such.
c) you can bet your sweet bippy that, same as any addiction, it's ruined marriages, careers and lives.

desire starts from the eyes. you see then u want. obviously we are hopelessly attracted to the opposite sex. opposite sex suggesting sex or having sex = attention and leads to desires that leads to some sort of action in some cases. so porn can be a problem and surely an addiction. but it can also be that sin where no one gets hurt. it's just one person watching no one gets hurt. but i wonder what is going on in that person's head.
