i am a huge spider-man fan and i also love batman, i trully want to know why the batman begins was better than spider-man?
with spiderman that movie brought reality to the character setting him in our real time....as a bigtime comic reader collector and just sttraight out encyclopedia of useless comic info how does this movie stand out amonst the rest that have come out previous, and i mean every single comic book film out there, spider-man was one of the all time best to re-create this medium into our real time lives, and kept true to the origin of the character cept for bio-organic webbing everything else was dope™! this batman does feel and look more realistic to our dark gotham and from the commercials i have seen shows him as a dark minded character, now i only hope it makes sense and doesnt use the same comic book cliches going into film.
so if you have seen it already how do you feel toward this question?
oh yeh dont give away anything as most of us didnt see it yet!!!
thanks!!

Saw this last night at the IMAX - it's totally great and pretty overwhelming on the super-sized screen. Londoners - I recommend!

also, everyone is comparing it to spiderman like it's the only superhero movie out there. how does it compare to x-men and the like?
- e-pill0
x-men and the rest...x-men wasnt as good and it can not be compared with batman or spiderman because it attention is on too many separate characters, and thus character build can not take place in one film making it a useless comparison...but if you compare it to the worst/ best comic book flick out which was the original punisher with dolph ludgren...that movie was possibily the worst comic to film ever created, but it holds the highest marks of character build and character origins kept with original making it the best of its kind, spider-man was the first comic to film to break that mold, that is why spider-man is the comparison.
my opinion, i hope it makes sense!

i think i see what you're saying, but it was kind of exciting to see all the x-men for some of its character development. wolverine, magneto, pyro..
not surprised that travesty, catwoman, hasn't been mentioned. some movies, it just makes sense not to see. (Electra included).

i was totally exc ited to see the x-men on screen and was even more to see collassus on screen but too many other characters at once didnt give me time to focus on any one character...the FF4 remake looks great too cept for the 1 change to origin but looks better than all the previos ff4 movies...i think of comic book liike the green mile which many people dont know was a comic before it went to film, and that movie broke the bonds to say you dont have to be a superhero or villian to make it to film and make it work, i guess that is also where i am looking when i look to see film get done, all the good ideas are already on paper and already drawn out, not its just time to make it reality...i look at certain scene from hulk where the film can be matched to the books which then can be matched up to the cartoons almost seamlessly was pure perfection, but the rest of the flick wasnt that great, thus it failed at least it did to me in comparison to likes of spider-man.
this batman i hope breaks all molds, and i seriously hope breaks the Burton mold as well.
i am looking foward to see a dark batman, one thaat relates to the books!!
here is a link to a fan film of batman: http://www.theforce.net/fanfilms…
this short film shows the dark knight at his best and worst, it also shows the real dark side to the dark knight that the burton films only made a slight mockery of what the real characters intentions are and dulling it down for kids. i always felt that it never translated well in those films plus as well as the 60's or 50's
batman tv program making it childlike whic h was great but wasnt dark...i just hope that this movie screams darkness ala se7en!:)

the movie was really really damn good. this really felt like Batman. i wasn't too into Burton's films and I'm glad (i think) that they'll be doing a sequel to this. Bale was great, Liam is always money (minus episode 1), Holmes was actually tolerable, Cain was ace, and come on, Morgan Freeman?
i dunno about that batmobile tho.. oh yeah, forgot Gary Oldman and Wanabi.

Can't wait to see this movie.
I loved X-Men, especially the second one. It never disappointed me. My favourite characters (Wolverine, Rogue, etc.) were developed really well.
One example is when Pyro takes a look at Iceman's (or whatever his name is) family photos and just by the look on his face you can tell what kind of family he had.
I just hope that the third movie is just as great, even though it'll be a different director. I hope Gambit and Beast will be in it. Apparently Haley Berry was only coming back if Storm had a larger part, so they're trying to come up with a bigger part for her.
I don't care much for Spiderman, especially when it comes to Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst. *barf

haha Frasier is going to be beast!

batman has to be the best superhero movie ever made, the one with christain bale i.e. Batman was never this good, i want to personally give a hug to mr. chris nolan.

Consider this an advance warning...spoilers ahead:
X3 isn't look good guys. Because of Berry's ego...they're killing off Cyclops (by Dark Phoenix), which is cool...but they're putting Storm in charge of the x-men.
Some other peeps die too..but it doesnt really matter.
Some parts other parts are crappy too...like the only time you see Gambit is during a prison breakout.
Overall..it feels like a mash-up of X1 and X2 minus a great director. Sadness.
But yeah..my death threat to bryan singer still stands.

Bryan Singer killed the X-Men. Don't even get me started. He's just a couple of notches below Lucas on my shit list.
... and 'The Usual Suspects' was all Chris McQuarrie.
- cosmo0
Solid, Bryan Singer directed 'Apt Pupil' awesome movie. He isn't that bad of a director.
If the previous batman directors had anything to do with X-Men, it would have sucked as bad as Ben Affleck's movies.
