As Paula Scher said when she came to Toronto 2 years ago:
If it looks just like the other work then you’ve copied but if you actually fail at trying to imitate you become an original.
It’s good to hold onto one thing. If there’s something you do really well, chances are you’ll really grow it.
If you do everything, you probably do everything in a mediocre fashion because nobody does everything well.
So find the thing you do well, do it to death, be innovative with it because you take it so far and let go of everything else.

DFD, very true, and thats what ive been doing. I found I am great at making primitive simple blocky looking people and conveying emotions, with colors, and perspectives of theirs faces.
