for one of our trade shows we bought two 30 inch monitors. when the show was over we shipped them back to the office, whereupon i was supposed to use one as a secondary monitor to my laptop. [ the idea is that the large monitor is good for graphics, duh. ] the other was to go to the other guy in the office with the most senority.
so when i get into the office today [was out sicker than a dog yesterday] one of the sick little F*CKS who works here left his old crap monitor on my desk and has the new 30 inch one at his.
wtf!
and my boss was out of the office too, the jerk knows that it's supposed to be mine. but my boss doesn't give a crap, so he won't step in.

and your boss should care btw that's why he's the fucking boss. just say that to him that he should say something about it.

How old are you might I ask?
- anzelina0
yeah, i'll probably just wait for them all to leave and switch them.
what really boils my blood is that i am using my own personal laptop for this job. !!!!!!

your own laptop?
hey you do it yourself, no one is forcing you.
so i'd say leave it at home. and just go to work w/ out it and let them figure it out.
again nice company.

are they paying you depreciation?
- Jaline0
Since your boss doesn't care, just wait for the other guy to go out somewhere and then swap 'dem monitors.

(May 27 05, 06:38)no, my point is, guess what? get used to it, that everywhere. with time you will realize that and not care so damn much
- ********0
although, you could just go and whack the kid in the back of the head. Personally, when he is sitting there, I would disconnect the monitor look him right in the eye and say FUCK YOU
- Jaline0
Yes, disconnect it while he's doing something very important.
- rabattski0
you think it's normal jazx? hmmm... all the places i worked @ never had colleagues fucking over colleagues. but you know, for all i care, maybe the boss promised him the screen as well and he's observing the entire process.
- rabattski0
"...I would disconnect the monitor look him right in the eye and say FUCK YOU" YEAH!!!!
- IRNlun60
Does the kid that took your monitor used his own laptop also?
Did he take it upon himself to take the monitor or did someone authorize it?
you need to bring it up with your boss because that really is bullsh*t...
- anzelina0
no, my point is, guess what? get used to it, that everywhere. with time you will realize that and not care so damn much

________________yeah, part of me knows this, and wants to say, hey, it's a job, so what? your job is not your life.
but the other part of me really hates this schmuck. you may recall me posting other posts about how he hates gay people and calls people faggots and also says things like 'women wouldn't be feminists if they were hot enough'.
i guess this monitor thing is just adding insult to injury.
- SteveJobs0
don't stoop to their level and switch monitors when he's left. confront him professionally and firmly and tell him that monitor was supposed to go to you and that he can speak with the boss to confirm. then ask if he's at a stopping point while holding the power cord. he'll get the point.
take a stand for yourself, i can't fly out there to do it for you!
