I had some realestate agents business card with his picture on it and left it wedged atop a steamer at an open house.

i hate to be "that guy" but i say suck it up and give them 2 months. the design community is relitively small and you never know what news will spread about you. i say dont burn your bridges. suck it up and be bitter for the next 2 month. chances are they will let you go sooner because you dont want to be there.

Taking a dump on the bosses desk and sticking an mini drink umbrella in it usually does the trick.

sounds like the best advice is to talk with your boss and let him/her know you're interested in leaving. Tell him/her why. If w/he wants to keep you, then the company will do what it takes to retain you. If not, they'll probably not expect you to sit around for 2 months.
In the professional world, from design to finance to shit-piping, two weeks notice is standard operating procedure and it's a two-way professional courtesy. Unless it's a special design company you work for in some highly specialized capacity, they probably don't need you to stick around and probalby won't want you to.
