try this mongo...
talk to ur boss and tell him why your not happy where you are, bc of your enviorment, your pay, or whatever it is. every now and then, let him know that you got another job offer...and if they can match it. let them know that you are hunting for a new job, bc yur not happy here. I wouldn't think that's gonna burn any bridges.

np man. hope that works out for you. if they fire u, does that mean you get to collect some unemployment? and why do you have to wait 2 months if you want to quit? isnt that just a 'courteousy' time. if it is just that, then it should not mandatory to wait that long.

tell him you would like to leave the company ASAP... is there a way he/she could speed up the process, faster than 2 months?

put your name on a piece of paper. tape it to a tooth pick like a little flag. go to the bathroom and do an "upper deck". stick the little flag in it.
