had a look for Nort West UK (our region) NO jobs listed on the major sites that are similar.
We even went to agencies and gor nothing, even the ones in Creative Review who specialise in theese people, they all said they had nobody on their books!

Not sure how the job market is looking in your areas, but around where I live good design jobs are starting to appear all over the place. I haven't seen my options like this in several years.
hell I just got put on retainer with one agency... oh man, a nice fat retainer.

Yep every one has been sucked in by London. I would say you could get a mid weight designer in Manc for £20k pa. Although I do know of another well know agency in Manc that pays about juniors about 8-12k.

What a joke..what's that Chimp $10/hr.? That's what we pay our interns.

Yep sad but true. My first job in London was £12k then went up to £15k plus some weeks i was doing 50hrs, but thats comitment for you.

What size of company has interns?
we are only 4 at the moment, 2 design 1 sales and 1 to answer the phone etc.
I think we might need to make a big jump to get the kind of work that will allow is to pay £3k per month for a designer.

Any size. I reckon there are loads of students at Salford uni or the Met willing to work for a few beers.

Anyone can hire interns, you don't have to be big. I know of a few places that are only 2-3 people w/ interns.
